With the fluctuating temperatures this winter, I want to make everyone aware of the importance of checking your air pressure in your tires. Did you know that for every 10 degrees the temperature changes, the psi in your tires will change by 1 pound. Example, if the temp goes down 10 dgrees, you will lose 1 psi in your tires. Now that doesn't sound like much, but with the weather we have been having, 60 degrees this morning and 34 degrees this afternoon, you could lose 2.6 psi in one day. Do your tires look low? I invite you to stop by and have a free air pressure check today. Conversely, the same thing happens in the summer, when it is hot outside. The air pressure goes up. That is why it is always recommended that you check the air on a cool tire. Sounds like a science lesson, but the main thing to remember is to check your air pressure on a regular basis. Most don't. The tires are the most important safety device on your automobile. It is truly the only contact between you and the road. Be safe, ride right.
Over and out for now. More later.
